An energy statement explains the proposed energy strategy for a development: how energy demand is reduced through the building fabric and efficient services, and how suitable low-carbon and renewable technologies contribute to the design.
A sustainability report brings together the wider sustainability measures relevant to the agreed planning brief. These may cover water efficiency, materials, waste, transport, ecology and climate resilience, drawing on information from the project team and specialist consultants where needed.
We review your drawings, specification and the planning authority’s requirements before agreeing the scope. The report is tailored to the site, development scale and application stage, with supporting SAP or SBEM modelling included where agreed.
Planning reports and Building Regulations compliance assessments serve different purposes. Any separate EPC, SAP, SBEM, overheating, ecology, drainage or certification work is identified in the scope; planning approval remains the decision of the local authority.
